Despite being acquitted of the most serious charges in his federal case, Sean “Diddy” Combs was denied bail after being convicted on two counts of transportation for prostitution.

According to CNN, when the judge read his decision, Diddy's "mouth dropped and his eyes widened."

U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian, who presided over the trial, explained his decision by pointing to Diddy’s past and recent behavior. “I didn’t grant bail when it wasn’t mandatory before the trial, and I see no reason to reach the opposite conclusion now,” the judge said.

Judge Subramanian cited disturbing admissions from the defense regarding Diddy’s violent actions toward both Cassie and another accuser, known as Jane, during the trial. He also referenced Diddy’s alleged violent outbursts following a federal search of his home—conduct he described as showing a “disregard for the rule of law and a propensity for violence.”

“You full-throatedly in your closing argument told the jury that there was violence here. And domestic violence is violence. And you said this is a case that did involve violence,” Judge Subramanian told Diddy's attorney, Marc Agnifilo.

Federal prosecutor Maurene Comey echoed the judge’s stance. “He’s an extremely violent man with an extraordinarily dangerous temper,” she said, adding that Diddy “has shown no remorse and no regret for his multiple victims.”

Judge Subramanian has proposed October 3 at 10 a.m. ET as the sentencing date, but noted he is open to moving it up if the defense requests it. A hearing to address the final sentencing schedule is set for next Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET.
