Diddy's Former Assistant Denies Being Drug Mule, Details Setting Up "Freak-Offs" During Testimony
Brendan Paul, the former personal assistant to Sean “Diddy” Combs, took the stand on Friday (June 20) as one of the final prosecution witnesses in the music mogul’s federal trafficking trial.
Paul recounted the day he and Diddy were approached by federal agents at the Miami airport, coinciding with high-profile raids on Diddy’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami. While Diddy was released after questioning, Paul was arrested for possession of 0.7 grams of cocaine—drugs he now claims belonged to Diddy. Paul testified that he initially took the fall out of loyalty, but was released the following day on a $2,500 bond. The charges were later dropped, and Paul ceased working for Combs shortly after.
While on the stand, Paul admitted to purchasing drugs—including cocaine, ketamine, ecstasy, and marijuana—on Diddy’s behalf between five to ten times, estimating he spent around $500 each time. However, he denied being a “drug mule” for the Bad Boy founder. When asked directly if he would knowingly work for a criminal, Paul replied, “Absolutely not.”
Paul also shed light on what he described as “Wild King Nights”—a term he used to describe the so-called “freak-offs” allegedly organized by Diddy. He detailed how he would “advance” hotel rooms for Diddy and his girlfriends, set them up for the evening, and leave cash tips to cover any potential damages.
Paul’s testimony adds to a growing list of explosive allegations in the ongoing case, as federal prosecutors continue to build their narrative against one of hip-hop’s most influential figures.
