Indian billionaire Sunjay Kapur, a reported friend of Prince William, died on Thursday after being stung in the mouth by a bee, causing him to have a fatal heart attack. He was 53. 

Kapur, chairman of the global auto parts maker Sona Comstar, collapsed while competing in an afternoon polo match at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor, England, the Daily Mail reported

After the bee sting, Kapur went into anaphylactic shock - a severe allergic reaction –that reportedly caused him to suffer a heart attack, the Daily Mail reported.

According to John Hopkins Medicine, a bee sting sustained inside the mouth, nose, or throat can be life-threatening because it causes internal swelling and breathing problems. 

For people who are allergic to bee stings, they can have a severe allergic reaction that can be fatal, according to John Hopkins Medicine. 

Hours before his untimely death, Kapur posted on X about the tragic Air India plane crash that occurred on Thursday, killing 279 people. 

The plane was en route to London when it crashed in Ahmedabad, India. The cause of the deadly crash is being investigated, The Guardian reported.
