Fan Tells Young Thug That He Confronted Gunna About Snitching Allegations
Young Thug made an appearance at the BET Awards this week, drawing attention not only for his presence but also for a tense moment that quickly made waves online. As he made his way through the event, he was approached by content creator Ruthlesssrich, who didn’t shy away from stirring controversy.
In a now-viral clip, Ruthlesssrich confronts the Atlanta rapper by referencing his former YSL collaborator, Gunna. "I told Gunna he was a snitch to his face," the content creator declares in the video. "Gunna did all that telling, man." Despite the bold statement, Young Thug didn’t react—he continued walking without acknowledging the remark, maintaining a calm and stoic demeanor throughout the encounter.
The comment stems from long-standing tension and speculation surrounding the aftermath of the sweeping YSL RICO indictment that shook the hip-hop world in 2022. Both Young Thug (real name Jeffrey Williams) and Gunna (Sergio Kitchens) were among dozens indicted in a case alleging gang activity under the guise of a record label.
While Young Thug was behind bars awaiting trial, Gunna was released after entering an Alford plea—essentially allowing him to maintain his innocence while accepting a plea deal on the basis that prosecutors had enough evidence for a conviction. The move sparked intense backlash, with critics accusing him of cooperating with authorities. Gunna has firmly denied these accusations, and his legal team has publicly stated that his plea did not involve providing information or testimony that would jeopardize Young Thug or any co-defendants.
The situation has fractured the once-close relationship between the two artists. In an April interview with GQ, Young Thug was asked directly about where he and Gunna stand today. “I know everybody wondering that.”
Thug said. “I don’t know.” The vague response left fans divided and speculating further about the status of their friendship.
