Fans were excited to see former 106 & Parkhosts reunite onstage at the 2025 BET Awards—but one familiar face was noticeably absent: Rocsi Diaz.

Just weeks prior, Rocsi had joined fellow hosts Terrence J and AJ Calloway for a nostalgic mini-reunion on The Breakfast Club, which made her absence at the BET Awards all the more surprising. As questions began circulating online, Rocsi took to Instagram to explain the reason for her no-show and offer a heartfelt apology.

“I’m so sorry if I let you down 😢,” she wrote. “Just know I tried everything possible to be a part of the 106 & Park reunion—it really meant a lot to me to be there with my fellow host. 106 was by far the best thing that’s ever happened to my life.”

Rocsi went on to reflect on how 106 & Parkhelped shape her career and express her deep appreciation for the fans who have supported her over the years.

“106 gave me the tools and foundation to become the TV host I am today. Also, because of you—the livest audience—you are the ones who have kept me relevant all these years later. Your love and support has been fuel for me to keep going and keep advocating for the culture on major platforms.”

As for what’s next, Rocsi hinted at a major career move currently underway.

“On the topic of platforms,” she added, “I’m currently about to embark on one of the biggest stages of my career. I hope you will support this new project—more details coming as soon as I can announce it. So just know it was because of an immediate job opportunity that I was unable to take part in the reunion.”
